WEBINAR – Knowledge in Practice: Transforming AOD Support Through Collaboration

Presented by Salvation Army AOD Services & Deakin University

In mid-2024, The Salvation Army AOD Services engaged researchers at Deakin University, School of Psychology to complete an evaluation of the first National Alcohol and Other Drug Services Model of Care. The model of care was developed in 2019 by 360 Edge, and the development process included a comprehensive literature review to ensure the model articulated current, evidence-based best practice and its application to the wide range of Salvation Army AOD services.

As the model had been in place for several years, it was time to conduct a robust evaluation to ensure services continue offering best practice supports into the future. This webinar will provide an overview of this collaboration, covering planning and executing the evaluation, along with key findings and methods to incorporate the evaluation recommendations into practice across all service types
