Research Essentials for the Community Sector

Research is essential to ensuring that policies, programs, and training consider the latest evidence base in mental health and/or alcohol and other drug fields. The workforce within the community sector have a unique opportunity to contribute to all stages of the research cycle including setting priorities for research, ensuring relevance and effectiveness, and translating knowledge into action.

This resource, developed in collaboration with The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use aims to assist you better understand the design, planning, execution, and management of a research project or program, and steps you through all the key stages of a project.
