Services and research institutes are increasingly striving to be ‘trauma-informed’. To be trauma-informed means demonstrating an understanding of trauma and using that understanding to inform ways in which support services are delivered, and how research is conducted. This practical guide provides a brief overview of what trauma-informed research is alongside reflections on how to ‘do’ trauma-informed research.
